Chief Executive – Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice, Glasgow.

What is your ‘Good Fight’?

PPWH embarked on the biggest challenge of
their 32-year history, building a new Hospice for
the people of Glasgow. We identified a site,
which was then donated to us by Glasgow City
Council, appointed a design team, designed a
world standard hospice based on the
Scandinavian Sengetun model and earmarked
a £21 million fundraising capital appeal. To
date we have fundraised £17.5 million with £3.5
million still to be raised. The new hospice will revolutionise the way people live until they die.

What do you need to realise your goal?

To date our success has been based on partnership working, leadership and passion from external individuals and the passion of our own team.
Moving forward towards the finishing line the most important resource that we require is new introductions, national and global networking strategies and sheer grit and determination.
